First sunrise (Cape Erimo)
It is one of Japan's foremost gale zones with more than 260 days a year with winds exceeding 10 m/s, and the headland at the tip of the long-standing Hidaka Mountains, which extends a total length of about 150km. The sunrise view from the cape, which can be seen almost 360 degrees, is spectacular. The surrounding reefs are inhabited by harbor seals. On January 1, the facility "Wind-no-kan", located at Cape Erimo, was opened for an extraordinary opening (5-8 o'clock).
