Living with excellent value for money in this city.
Living in Nagoya offers incredible bang for your buck. Compared to the Tokyo area, the monthly cost of living is lower and work commutes shorter. Another way Nagoya displays its residential convenience is its vast floor space in living quarters and park area per person compared to Tokyo and Osaka. Spend your days satisfied and living closer to nature in a more spacious home and at lower cost than before.

Parenting aids and support for old age are also substantial.
Long and can live in peace.
The City of Nagoya offers its numerous support systems to everyone from babies to the senior citizens to ensure a comfortable life. It has even accomplished zero children on waiting lists for preschools*16, a worry among parents while their children are still at home.* 16. This allows working parents to go to their jobs, leaving worry at the door. Also, complete support letting children up to middle school age receive checkups at hospitals and other medical institutions without paying out of pocket is available. Support is also in place for senior citizens with the Senior Citizens' Pass, a pass allowing free rides on city buses, the subway, and other public modes of transportation to enjoy trips here and there for a meaningful later stage in life.

Refresh Even in the City Center! Nagoya – A City Full of Parks
Nagoya Has More Park Space per Person Compared to Tokyo and Osaka.
In 2017, the privately built and operated commercial facility “tonarino” opened in the northern area of Meijo Park. Surrounded by flowers and greenery, it offers a relaxing space where people of all ages can enjoy dining and sports while refreshing both body and mind.

Redevelopment is underway around Nagoya’s iconic 100-meter-wide roads.
In the Sakae district, the core of Nagoya’s city center, the Sakae Area Urban Development Project is being promoted in collaboration with various stakeholders to create a vibrant and lively urban space.
As one of the key initiatives to enhance the area's appeal, Hisaya Odori is undergoing redevelopment to become a symbolic space in the city center. The goal is to create a public space that represents the Sakae district—where many citizens and visitors to Nagoya can gather, relax, and interact. The redevelopment of Hisaya Odori Park is being carried out in phases by area. The North Area, the TV Tower Area, and the former Sakae Bus Terminal site ("Mitsukoshimae Hirobas") are scheduled to open in 2020. Redevelopment plans for the South Area are currently under consideration.

Tap Water
We provide safe, secure, and delicious tap water.
The source of Nagoya’s tap water is the Kiso River, which originates in the lush mountains of the Kiso region. The Kiso River has minimal contamination from domestic or industrial wastewater, resulting in excellent water quality. It is also low in hardness, giving it a light and smooth taste. In addition to the 51 national water quality standards, Nagoya independently tests an additional 61 items to ensure safe and reliable water.
