Inane Shrine

The Nioyebine orchid, a type of wild orchid and also known as the queen of the ebine, was once able to see its appearance everywhere on the island, but was overfished by some maniacs, and now it is almost impossible to see anything native. This park was created for the purpose of protecting this Nioyebine orchid. When white and light purple flowers bloom from mid to late April, the park is filled with a noble fragrance. In addition to shebine, saku lily, senryow, and petunia are planted in winter, so you can enjoy flowers outside of the shebine season.

Among the surrounding cliffs surrounded by steep cliffs, the marine cliff of Kurosaki Takao in the southwestern part of the island is 480m high and forms a marine cliff, which is said to be Japan's best in Japan and the best in the East. From the observation deck just above this cliff, you can see the waves of the rough waves of the Pacific Ocean far below, and you can realize the severity of nature and the size of the scale of the island.

Although Japan was all over the country at the time, the 250 or so Mikoshima islanders joined forces from a humanitarian position to rescue about 500 Viking occupants. After taking care of him for a month, he sent him to Izu Shimoda. To commemorate the 100 years of the incident, the ship's affiliated port New Bedford citizens and descendants of the distress erected a monument at the entrance to the approach to the Inane Shrine in gratitude. The great anchor that was leaned against the monument was actually used on the Viking, and the Viking anchor-lifting machine is used on the pedestal of the lantern of the shrine.
