Lake Matsubara

The museum stands on the Matsuharako plateau, at the foot of Yagatake. It contains works by Mr. Kuribayashi, a painter who is a native of Kōmi-cho and a former member of the Kokugakai, as well as works by Mr. Tatsuzo Shimaoka, a human national treasure and potter, and a pre-war SP record. The building, which is in harmony with the surrounding nature, was designed by international architect Tadao Ando. It takes 30 minutes.

Kosha, located on the eastern shore of Lake Matsubara. It is said to have been founded from the Nara period to the Kamakura period (between 710 and 1333). The precinct houses a nozarashi bell donated by Shingen Takeda. A long time ago, it was a Brahma bell acquired by Shingen as a booty for his attack on Shino, and a fire reportedly occurs when placed indoors. For a long time, it has been placed under the roof for preservation. A 10-minute walk from the shrine, there is a shrine on the north shore of the lake. Every year from July to August, a stamp rally is held around seven shrines around Lake Matsubara, and if you collect five or more stamps, you will get a small souvenir.
