Road Station Chihaya Akaka

The facility is located within the Chihaya Garden area, which is spread around the top of Mount Kumgang at an altitude of 1125m. It is the highest-altitude campsite in Osaka, and features guests not only staying in tents and bungalows, but also serving outdoor food in pizza kilns and firewood-based furnaces. Tents are basic to bring in, but in summer, the use of permanent tents is also recommended. The barbecue place where you can set up a barbecue rostre or stove is brought with you, and if you rent cooking equipment and tableware, you can easily enjoy the barbecue even for beginners outdoors. Day trips are also possible, but all facilities and equipment are by appointment. In the garden area, let's enjoy nature by observing plants and watching the starry sky.

A natural-rich trout fishing spot at an altitude of 600m on the western mountainside of Mount Kumgang, which rises at the prefectural border between Osaka and Nara prefectures. The fishing spot includes a general fishing spot and a flying spot using the mountain stream of Chihaya river, as well as a fishing spot dedicated to Luer Fly. Fish include rainbow raut and char, amago, etc. At the general fishing spot, adults and children enjoy fishing together with a rented rod in one hand. The fish caught for 100g 140 yen is also cooked for grilled salt or fried, and in the dining room, udon and soba noodles are also offered in addition to smijima dishes.

It is full of information about the nature and starry sky of Mount Kumgang. In addition to the stargazing station, which has a 400mm diameter reflective astronomical telescope, there is also a corner and a learning space to introduce the history and nature of Mount Kumgang.
