Kamimoriyama Observation Deck

It produces and sells tempura (sweet fish) made from white small fish, such as Eso and Guchi, a specialty of Kaminseki. Hatoko Tempura 360 yen was named because the staff often ate on TV drama locations. Hiraten with burdock is also 360 yen. They also accept regional shipments.

A roadside station with excellent freshness of fish and shellfish, fresh fruits and vegetables in Kamigeki town. It also sells processed products and local products. At the restaurant, you can enjoy strait cuisine using plenty of seasonal ingredients while watching the boats that cross the strait. Information Corner (Tourist Information Center), Kamigeki Fisheries and Michinoeki Store (Hatoko Tempura) and others are also well received within the roadside station.

It was built in 1879 (Meiji 12), and is the oldest type of pseudo-yō-style architecture in Yamaguchi Prefecture. French stained glass remains on the windows, jet-black sculptures of Chinese lion peonies on the walls of the third floor, and phoenix jet-black sculptures on the ceiling of the fourth floor. In addition to the exhibition of materials about the four-story tower, the Kamigeki-cho Folk History Learning Hall, which is attached to the building, the history of Kamigeki-cho is presented with panels and footage.
