The Uzu tide, which can be as much as 20m in diameter, is a symbol of the Naruto Strait. The view of Meishan, which looks like an eyebrow from anywhere, is representative of Tokushima. There are valleys such as Iya Gorge, known as unexplored areas, and Oboke-Koboke-Koboke in the mountains that continue to Kenzan. The Kazura Bridge in Iya, which is braided using kudzu, and the Funakuri in Oboke Gorge, are thrilling. Awa Odori, a traditional performing art originating in Tokushima Prefecture, is a summer style poem with a history of 400 years. A specialty, Tokushima ramen, is also recommended.

Take the "Nozomi" JR Tōkaidō/Sanyo Shinkansen Line from Tokyo Station to Okayama Station for about 3 hours 9 minutes to 3 hours 20 minutes. Transfer at Okayama Station to the JR Setohashi Line "Marine Liner" and reach Takamatsu Station for about 52 minutes to 1 hour and 8 minutes. Transfer to JR Takatoku Line "Uzushio" at Takamatsu Station and reach Tokushima Station for about 1 hour 6 minutes to 1 hour 12 minutes. Total about 5 hours and 40 minutes. The Japan Rail Pass requires an additional fee when using other than Nozomi and ordinary cars.
