In order to enter the underground part, it is necessary to purchase a ticket for the exhibition, and to reserve waiting for the entry. In the above-ground part, only purchase a ticket for the exhibition is OK.
(1)Purchase of tickets for the exhibition
Although it can be purchased at the "general information and ticket sales" in the hall on the same day, it is necessary to line up for ticket purchase, so it is recommended to purchase a web ticket (specified time and date) from the official site in advance.
In the exhibition zone, you can see four permanent exhibition works, including the swimming pool, and the exhibition that will change every period, so the amount of tickets for each exhibition will vary. There are two types of tickets, a special exhibition and a collection exhibition, and if you purchase one of them, you can view the swimming pool (Reservation for (2) is also required), so be sure to purchase. In the past, in addition to waiting reservations on the day, advance reservations could be made on the web, but as of February 2025, only waiting reservations can be made on the day of the web reservation or at the in-house reservation machine.
From 9:00 to 17:30 on the day of the visit (Friday and Saturday at 19:30), you can make a reservation waiting on the day from the official site. You can also make a waiting reservation on the day at the hotel reservation machine. The paid exhibition zone is a zone where you can admire four permanent works and exhibitions that change every period. One is about 13 meters long, in addition to the swimming pool introduced in the previous chapter, there is a green bridge (Patrick Bran/2004), which is covered with about 100 different plants suitable for the climate of Kanazawa on a wall about 5 meters high. The flowers that bloom depending on the season are different, so be sure to cross the corridor and admire the plants. * A ticket is not required when viewing from the exchange zone.
The other two are "You Play Yourself" (Pipilotti Rist/2004), "L'Origine du mondeWeek (Anish Kapoor/2004). This is a shooting ban, so please look at it with your eyes and enjoy it.

This is a work called Maru (SANAA/2016). The pavilion, shaped like 16 spheres of 1.8m diameter joined together, was built by SANAA to mark the 10th anniversary of its opening. It is interesting that the scenery around is reflected like a fish eye lens! * It is not a permanent exhibition work.
This is a work called “Crankfeld Number 3” for the arena (Florian Claar/2004). An object with a wide open mouth like a trumpet is set in two, but the next door is not necessarily a pair! If you make a voice on the one hand, try to play because it's fun to hear from the other.
And since the man who measures the clouds (Jan Fabre/1998) is located near the center of the rooftop, you can also appreciate it from the interchange zone. It is a bronze statue of a man holding a ruler toward the sky, and is being produced by an author inspired by an American film from about 60 years ago.

The "Cafe Restaurant Fusion 21", located in the free exchange zone, offers lunch and sweets with plenty of seasonal, local produce.
Especially when you come to the cafe restaurant Fusion 21 at 11-14 lunchtime, you can't miss a set with an appetizer plate and a salad, soup and bread buffet with plenty of Kaga vegetables and seasonal ingredients in addition to the main dishes. Therefore, there is a single item menu, but three types of sets "Fusion Lunch", "Chef's Lunch" and "Noto Beef Steak Lunch" are recommended.
The appetizers are served on a plate that looks like a palette of paints. It's a cafe restaurant in the Kanazawa 21st Century Museum of Art, so there's a sense of how you can feel art in this kind of part.
