Prayer for Opening at Venerable Takachiho Shrine
Founded about 1,900 years ago, it has been the head shrine of 88 shrines in Takachiho since the Heian period and has attracted a wide range of believers for its agricultural industry, matchmaking and other purposes. Enjoy the specialty gourmet with "Nao-chan"
This long-established restaurant was founded in 1964, and serves the same light-tasting chicken nanban that has remained unchanged since ancient times. Some chicken nanban restaurants, which are said to have originated in Nobeoka City, do not serve tartar sauce, and this restaurant is one such example. The simple chicken nanban set meal, made with plenty of nanban vinegar, can be enjoyed for 1,100 yen.

Admire the night view at Mount Atago (Kasasa no Misaki)
From the observation deck on Mount Atago, 251 meters above sea level, you can get a panoramic view of the town of Nobeoka and the Hyuga Sea. It is also the first place in Miyazaki Prefecture to be certified as a "Japanese Night View Heritage Site," and is popular as a night view spot.
