It spans about 3km east-west north-south and is followed by a row of cherry trees. A lantern is installed and the background music is played all day (10 to 21 o'clock) during the period. On Sunday, April 6, which will be the main, there will be jogging competitions, a long-time tobi, a fun draw and so on, and there will also be a flower lunch box on sale.

旧暦2月4日（近年ではこれに近い日曜）に羽島崎神社で開かれる春の大祭。航海の安全を願う儀礼「船持ち［ふなもち］」と、豊作を願う儀礼「田打ち［たうち］」の2つを続けて行う。船持ちは、5歳の子どもが模型の船を担いで境内を回り、その後大人による舟歌がある。田打ちは、テチョ（父親役）と太郎（子ども役）が牛を使って田植えを再現する。鹿児島県指定無形民俗文化財。 画像提供：いちき串木野市教育委員会

五穀の豊穣を祈願する祭儀。10時～。旧暦2月4日に行われる。祭神ニニギノミコトが高天原から稲種子を授かり、耕作されたという故事により、神苑内に祭場を設け行うもの。
