Sakaiminato City Tourist Information Center

A tourist information center located on the first floor of the Minatosakai Exchange Center adjacent to JR Sakaiminato Station. In addition to providing tourist information, the city of Sakaiminato and nearby brochures, as well as selling local goods and stamp-book yōkai guidebooks. There is also a youkai post in which the posted letter is postmarked by Kitarō and other youkai. We also accept rented bicycles that are convenient for walking, and use 1000 yen per car per day.

Sakai Minato Oasis

It is located on the second floor of the Minatosakai Exchange Hall, which is located at the Sakaiminato City Tourist Information Center and the Oki Kisen Terminal, and introduces tourist information of Sanin and cartoonists of local origin. In addition to promoting "Manga Kingdom Tottori", various events are also held. Free entry and can be used for a break because you can eat and drink.

Historical Museum of the Sea and Living

The Fish House Historical Museum, a renovation of the Meiji era sake breweries. All 700 kinds of pieces of Hama are real with no contents. The sea gang "Great White Shark" and the messenger "Ryugu Notsukai" from the deep sea, and the cute giant "Sunfish" are on display, and the shooting is OK. There is also a kids space.

Do not dream and park

The park was created on the site of the "Sanin Yumi-minato Expo" held in 1997. There are "Sakaiminato Sana Center", which handles fresh sea products, "Minato-tei", a Japanese seafood restaurant where you can eat its fresh fish on the spot, "Minato-onsen Honomi" with a sauna and open-air bath, and a green space park with a board walk. On the 4th floor of Yume Minato Tower, a symbol tower, there is "TOWER's CAFE" where you can relax while looking at the sea. From the observation room on the top floor, you can enjoy a large 360-degree panorama and view of the Sea of Japan and Oyama.

Sakaitaiba Park

A park spread next to the historical museum of the sea and living. In the year of Bunkyu 3 (1863), it was one of eight Tōtori Domain taiba sites built in preparation for the emergency of the late Tokugawa period, and was built around the site of the taiba, which is designated as a national historic site. In addition to the restoration of the oldest wooden lighthouse in Sanin, which was opened in 1895, in the garden, it is also a point to see the Sakai Suido Bridge, which connects the area to and from Mihoseki, Shimane Prefecture. In spring, 250 cherry blossom spots are in bloom.

Mizuki Shigeru Road

A street with a total length of approximately 800m from JR Sakaiminato Station to Honmachi, the site of the Shigeru Mizuki Memorial Hall on the east side. 177 bronze statues of familiar youkai, such as Kitaro and a centerpiece father, drawn by Shigeru Mizuki, a manga artist from Sakaiminato, known for "Gegege no Kitaro", are scattered along the street. The bronze statues set to five themes from the station front, such as "The World of Mizuki Manga", "Youkai Secreted in Close Place", and "Youkai Seeming in House", are all unique. In addition to the centerpiece father-shaped streetlights, kappa springs, and youkai shrine, there is also a projection of shadow of youkai and a light-up of bronze statues after sunset.

Dreaming and Tower

A tower in the park with a dream. From the observation room, which is 43m above the ground, you can see Oyama, Shimane Peninsula, Yukigahama, Nakaumi and Yonago. On the third floor, there is an exhibition room that introduces the life of six regions on the opposite shore, including China, where you can learn about the state of foreign exchange at Sakaiminato as a trading port. There is also an observation tea "Towers Cafe" on the fourth floor.

Montbell Oyama Store

The shop is located at the base of the Daizanji Bridge and has a variety of outdoor items, mainly climbing goods. There is a full-fledged climbing wall inside the store, as well as various tour events in every season.

Daisen White Resort

There are 9 courses in 4 areas with a wide variety of courses, which can be selected to suit the level from beginner to advanced. Various sleds are rented for free at Taka Pyo Land in Kids Park. A 50m moving belt is installed, and the whole family can enjoy the fun.

Oyama Tour Desk

We provide guidance and reception of an experience program where you can fully enjoy the seasonal nature of Oyama. From spring to autumn, there is an "Oyama Beech Forest Walk" walking in the Oyama Forest, an electric cycling tour and a tour to be photographed by a professional photographer along with the Oyama starry sky, and an experience tour using snowshoes in winter. In addition, the “Goen Jizo Making Experience”, which makes the main Jizo Bodhisattva of Daisanji, is recommended because you can experience it throughout the year regardless of the weather.
