Roadside Station Maizuru Port Toretore Center

Road station along Route 175. There are four stores for the Chinese Chinese middleman, and fresh fish and shellfish are available at affordable prices. The large store contains squid, sazae, and hamachi koppe crabs, and other fish that have been fried in the port of Maizuru. You can also have the purchased fish cooked on the spot and eat it at the rest area.

Tanabe Castle Museum, Maizuru City

During the Sengoku period, Tanabe Castle was built by Hosokawa Yusai [Yusai] and Tadaoki [Tadaoki] parents and children. Its castle site was maintained as Maizuru Park, and the rebuilt castle gate at the entrance was opened to the public as a museum. In the exhibition room, the state of successive castle owners and castle towns are introduced. It takes 20 minutes.

Gorogatake Park

The park is maintained at the summit of Gorodake with a view of Maitsumu Bay. There is a green, sea-breeze walking path along the ridge, and you can enjoy the rich nature. From the 50m high Goro Sky Tower in the park, you can overlook the beautiful Rias coast, the top 100 views of Kinki.

La Sale

A popular choice is meat potato bread 216 yen, which is made by braised meat potatoes related to the Navy until it is made into a paste, wrapped in bread dough and baked in it. Naval curry bread 216 yen, which is made with pure curry powder and sharpened by Fukujinji, is also recommended.

Minosuke Hasegawa Shoten

Miso-shoed fish and fish-fried fish in the port of Maizuru, as well as one-night-dried manufacturing outlets. Miso soup is pickled in Kyoto's white miso and Saikyo miso, and sweet bream flavor sauce is 2100 yen, and miso soup (3 cuts) is 1780 yen. Regional shipping is also possible and will pack according to the budget.

Maizuru Red Brick Park Building 3 (Maizuru Chiezo)

The facility was reclaimed and utilized from a brick building constructed in 1902 (Meiji 35) as the Maizuru Naval Arsenal Bullet Garde. One of the "Maizuru Old Jinshofu Warehouse Facility" of National Designated Important Cultural Properties, the tiled roof and wood-framed glass windows have been faithfully restored based on the design drawings of the time. It also has a permanent display of diesel locomotives. There are also plenty of shops with souvenirs unique to Maizuru.

Red Brick Museum

One of the facilities in Maizuru Red Brick Park, a rare museum dedicated to red bricks. The building is a converted use of the former Maizuru Naval Arsenal torpedo depot, which was constructed in 1903 (Meiji 36) as one of the "Maizuru Old Jinshofu Warehouse Facility" of the National Designated Important Cultural Property. It is said to be among the oldest surviving buildings in Japan as a combination of steel and brick. About 1900 items are collected from 42 countries around the world, and you can see bricks from all over the world, such as real bricks used in Mohenjo Daro, Great Wall of China, Tomioka Silk Mill, Atomic Bomb Dome, etc.

Maizuru Red Brick Park

A collective term for a group of 12 brick warehouses in the Hokusuka district. It is a modern-style structure that is valuable among the surviving brick structures, and was built in nine buildings during the Meiji period and three during the Taishō period as warehouses of the former navy. Eight of these buildings (one out of the house) have been made a nationally designated Important Cultural Property as the "Maizuru Old Jinshofu Warehouse Facility". In addition, five of them have been preserved and utilized as the "Red Brick Museum", "Maizuru Municipal Administration Memorial", "Maizuru Chiezo", "Red Brick Kobo", and "Red Brick Event Hall".

Maizuru Furu Farm (Kansai Wide Area Union Direct Sales Office)

There are restaurants, handmade workshops, plantations, cottages, etc. Spot to enjoy the rural village. At the restaurant, a Viking-style lunch of 1850 yen (1650 yen from senior 70-year-old, 980 yen for elementary school children, 650 yen for toddlers, free for ages 3 and under) featuring natural food menus made with plantations here and vegetables made by local farmers is popular. There is also a full market selling fresh vegetables. Vegetables are grown in the field in the garden and can be seen in front of the eyes.
