平成5年(1993)に多賀町内において、国内で最もよく揃った化石が発見されたアケボノゾウの全身復元骨格をホールに展示。常設展示室では、本物の骨化石を見ることができる。また、関西最大の鍾乳洞である「河内風穴」の紹介や多賀町の動植物に関する資料を展示している。多賀町内の権現谷の三葉虫化石も必見だ。多賀町とその周辺の自然と歴史を体感しよう。

多賀町の南西部に位置する高取山ふれあい公園は、86平方mもの緑豊かな敷地にキャンプ場や宿泊施設を完備。バーベキューやアスレチック、パンやピザを薪を使って焼くことのできる「森のかまど」、木工教室など自然を満喫しながら楽しめる。

青龍山の巨石信仰をルーツとする神社。丘の上に立っており、多賀の景色が見渡せる。また、寿福、延命にご利益があるといわれている。ここ胡宮神社には「平清盛出生のなぞ？」として「仏舎利相承図」というものが残っている。

霊仙山麓のカルスト地帯にある鍾乳洞。およそ55万年前、霊仙山の雪解け水が石灰岩にしみ込んでできたという。入口は人がかがんでやっと入れるほどの広さだが、内部は小洞が多く複雑な構造。主に4層に分かれ、1層目だけでも1190平方mという広さで総延長は1万20m以上といわれ全国第4位。犬を洞内に放したら、三重県伊勢市に出たとも伝えられる。天候不順時は入れないので注意しよう。

天守と同時に、城下町を一望できるロケーションにあり、峠の茶屋のような風情もいい。9・12・15時に日本の音風景100選に選ばれた寺宝鐘の音を間近に聞くこともできる。

多彩な風呂設備が揃う大型銭湯。浴槽は人気の広々とした高濃度炭酸風呂、壺の形をした風呂や岩風呂のある露天風呂、遠赤外線タワーサウナ・スチームサウナ・塩サウナと3種類のサウナを完備。店で毎日手作りしている「うどん」を中心に、おつまみから定食まで豊富なメニューの食事処や、リラクゼーション施設もある。また、約1万5000冊の漫画が読み放題。

「安全で安心、安くてうれしい」と好評のやさいの里二番館。地元の農家からたくさんの新鮮野菜などを出荷。季節の新鮮野菜や、味噌、漬物、惣菜といった加工品なども含め、多くの品を取り扱っている。
