Imafuji Shoten

A souvenir shop that sells local sake and other specialty products from the Hida region. At the storefront, they sell Hida beef skewers 600 yen and Hida beef croquettes 250 yen, so they are perfect for snacks. Takeout is also OK, so it is perfect for accompanying Shirakawa-go walking. Open-air Museum Gassho-built private house garden

Around the village of Kashura, Shirakawa-mura, which was once said to be an unexplored area, 25 Gassho-built houses used in all parts of Shirakawa-go have been relocated and preserved and opened to the public. A shrine, a watermill, a horse shop, and so on stand in the park, and a landscape just like an old village.

Road Station Shirakawa Township

Roadside station stands in Gassho-zukuri no Sato, which is also famous as a World Heritage Site. Nagase family

A gassho-built private house rebuilt by the fifth generation in 1890 (Meiji 23). It is also one of the largest in Shirakawa Township, with five floors. Since he was a Chinese medicine doctor from the first to the third generation, he also exhibits medicine boxes and scales from the Edo period, as well as art objects and furniture.

Shirakawa Township

In 1995, Shirakawa-go Ogimachi Gassho Settlement, which was listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. 114 gassho-built houses remain in Satoyama, where you can meet the original Japanese landscape such as thatched roofs.
