
An open-air bath with a beautiful emerald green lake surface overlooking the lake of Hakusui (Oshirakawa Dam Lake). It is also the source of Shirakawa-go Hirase Onsen. The baths surrounded by mountains on all sides are for men and women, but there are few enclosures to block the view, so you can enjoy the wild atmosphere. Because it is at the entrance to Hakusan, it is often used by climbers.

Hakusan Shirakawa-go White Road was opened as "Hakusan Super Forest Road" in 1977 and changed its name from 2015. It is one of Japan's leading mountain toll roads across Hakusan National Park, with a maximum elevation point of 1450m and a total length of 33.3km connecting Ishikawa and Gifu prefectures. On the way, the "Shirakawa-go Observation Deck" overlooks Shirakawa-go from the observation deck, as well as the Momo-i Dam and the mountains of the Northern Alps. At the observation deck, there is a promenade that allows you to go around a primeval forest of beech more than 300 years old in about a 30-minute walk, allowing you to enjoy fresh fresh green in spring and colorful autumn leaves in autumn.

For small children and those who are not good at high places, a huge maze adjacent to them is recommended. This is the largest maze in the prefecture, an attraction aiming for the goal while pressing a stamp in the four yagura in the maze. Try to use your head and body to escape from the maze surrounded by walls so high that even adults can hide.

Cottage Park, spread over the Hirugano Plateau, located at an altitude of 900m. There is also auto camping and glamping. It includes an empty-handed day barbecue and water square, an event square and a fishing pool for trout fishing, as well as badminton, soccer courts and dog runs. Some of the cottages and auto camping sites can also stay with pets.

You can experience the riding of Kiso Horse, a native Japanese horse with a good temper. If you are a beginner, we recommend a challenge course 5000 yen (with guide) that goes around 2km in about 30 minutes. For the experience, cool September to November is the best season.
