Road Station Mitake

A small station in the mountains where plum blossoms compete in early spring. Yamashita Family House

The Yamashita family was an Australian farmer who made his fortune as a big horse master from the mid-Edo period. The residence of the main building (Honmunekuzukuri) is designated as Nagano Prefecture Treasure. Inside the building, such as the book of the horse medicine, was published. Next door, the Archaeological Museum displays stone tools from the Kaida Kogen, including a tongue-shaped cusp with a tongue-shaped projection called "Yanamata Point", which was excavated at the Yanamata site.

Yamayuri-so

Hata Kogen Ice Cream Studio

Wood works kintoki

A furniture workshop that produces custom-ordered and creative furniture in the Kata Kogen at an altitude of 1200m at the eastern foot of Mount Ontake. They use solid wood from hardwood, such as national chestnuts and walnut, which are made from domestic products, and finish with natural paint, which shows the beauty of the wood grain and the texture of the moist wood skin as it is. The workshop gallery also exhibits original furniture and creative craft works. One-over 500 yen ~.

Kisoma Equestrian Center

The equestrian center located inside the "Kisoma no Sato". About 30 Kiso horses, which were designated as Natural Monuments in Nagano Prefecture in 1983, are bred, and can be used to tour the stables and experience riding. The Kiso horse is a native horse that has been kept in Japan for a long time, and is characterized by being shorter and longer than thoroughbreds and Quarterfours. Personality is relatively quiet, so you can ride easily. There is also an indoor horse stadium, so it's safe even in rainy weather.

Kiso Horse Village

On a vast site of about 500,000 square meters, facilities are set up where you can experience riding and soba-beating. The pulling horse experience is 600 yen for 2 minutes and 1100 yen for 5 minutes. There is a one-seater experience 15 minutes 2200 yen, and trekking in the area with a horse in the village 20 minutes 4200 yen.

KAIDA FARM

You can pick large-grain blueberries grown in a 3000-tsubo garden overlooking the majestic mountain range of Mount Ontake. The blueberry takeaway is 100g 200 yen (plus tax).

Soba Dokaku Experience Dojo

At the facility, located inside the "Kisoma no Sato", a local veteran craftsman will teach you the best meaning of soba-based soba noodles, which are made from buckwheat flour from Kata-Kogen, and are boiled and eaten at the site for a summary of the place for one hour.

Kiso-cho, Kata-cho

It introduces the history, industry, life and animals of paddy clearing in the village. The harma of the Third Haruyama [Haruyama] No., which left many descendants as the last purebred sire of the extinct Kisoma, is powerful. There is a Kisoma ranch about a five-minute drive away.
