Hirasawa Pass

Monument of the highest point of JR Railway

A representative memorial shooting spot on the Nobeyama plateau. The JR Komai Line, which runs like stitching between mountains, passes through the 1375m point, which is the highest in the JR line. This point is a level crossing intersecting the old national highway at the halfway point between Kiyosato and Nobeyama stations, with a wooden pillar marking the highest point standing beside the side, and a stone monument of the highest Japanese railway point on the other side of the track. There are also restaurants and direct sales shops selling plateau vegetables in the surrounding area. The nearest Nobeyama Station is the station of JR Highland, which is located at an altitude of 1345m, and there are many tourists who purchase the entrance ticket of 150 yen in commemorative service.

Goko Ranch Auto Campground

An auto campground with an altitude of 1300m and an extensive site at a former ranch. The site is a free site with a full field turf. There are no lots at all, so you can enjoy the camp in a spacious manner.

Shatrese Ski Valley Nobeyama

Near the Nobeyama Station on the JR Komai Line, which is popular as the highest-elevation station in Japan, a ski area with a view of the majestic Yatsugatake Renfeng in front. You can enjoy comfortable skiing at any time with a clear weather rate of more than 85% and stable artificial snowfall conditions, with good access from the city center for about two hours by car. At an altitude of 1818m, the slopes spread at the northwestern foot of Mount Yokoo have a total of five courses and three lifts at an altitude of 1400-1600m, and the longest distance of the course is 1300m. There is also a kids park, which is well received by women and families with an easy-to-use ski center and full kids facilities.

Five Light Ranch

An idyllic sightseeing ranch surrounded by greenery. A wide variety of leisure facilities are available on the site. Auto Campground (150 parking lots) is a free site for ¥ 5200. There is also a coffee shop where you can taste dairy products such as soft ice cream and natural shaved ice.

Barley Pass

National Route 299, which connects Oku-Tateshina to Sakuho-cho, is popularly known as the "Merchen Kaido", and has become a popular mountain driving course as the only road that can be crossed by car over Kita-Yatsugatake. The highest point is located at the Barrugus Pass at an altitude of 2127m. Ahead of the road, which leads straight, is Tateshina Kogen to the west and Yachiho Kogen to the east. There is a wheat grass hütte in the immediate vicinity.

Pond of white pieces

A mysterious lake tucked amid the vast moss and old-growth forests of Mount Kita-Yagatake. It is the largest natural lake in Japan at an altitude of over 2100m. The surrounding world of moss and primeval forest has been selected as "Japan's precious moss forest" because of its size and beauty. A 15-minute walk along the mountain road from the Shirakoma Pond parking lot along National Route 299 to Shirakoma no Pond. There is a mountain road around the pond that is about 40 minutes around, and you can also play a designated camp or boating. National Route 299 is closed to vehicles during the winter season (mid-November to mid-April).

Yachiho Takahara Ski Area

Since it is located at an altitude of 1830m at Mount Kita-Yatsugatake, the long season boasts overwhelming conditions due to natural snow and artificial snowfall is attractive. With eight compact slopes and a variety of attractions such as parks and bumps, you can glide all day without getting bored. The family is safe with the course layout where all the courses join together. In Kidsland, where a playroom is set up in front of you where parents and children can take a break, you can enjoy a sleigh play zone and a ski practice zone around a 70m moving sidewalk. Accommodation-type skiing on four individual pensions adjacent to the slopes is also possible. Winter sports can be used for a variety of needs as well as ski boards.

Yachiho Takahara Nature Garden

A vast natural park located at the eastern foot of Mount Kitahachi. If you take a walk in the park, you can enjoy nature and forest bathing. There are three walking courses: "white small diameter" with beautiful birch forests, "blue small diameter" with small waterfalls, mountain streams and lakes, and "green small diameter" with dainty plateau flowers in early summer. Because of the contact between temperate and subarctic forests, a variety of plants can be observed, and the singing of wild birds is also pleasant. The walking course is 1 to 2.5km in total length.

Okumura Toxi Memorial Museum

A museum with drawings by Okumura Toxi, a heavy-weight of the modern Japanese art pit. The museum was created on the edge of the fact that the earth beef was separated from Sakuho-cho (former Hozumi-mura) in 1947-26 (1947-1951). The sign that welcomes visitors is from the autograph. In the museum, about 45 drawings drawn with delicate lines and precise colors are always on display. Three times a year, the exhibition is changed according to the season. The building itself also has a quaint style of Japanese-style architecture from the late Taisho era to the early Showa era, which used plenty of kelkova and cypress.
