Yukawa Hometown Park

A park with beautiful stands of trees that are colored in four seasons and a view of Mt. Asama. The clear stream of Yukawa is also pleasant. Free dog runs that can run around with no leads are well received. Rest assured because they are divided into small dogs and medium and large dogs.

Sengataki Babble Road

A promenade leading to Sengataki with a 20m head in the upper reaches of Sengataki, which flows through the forest in the Sengataki district of Karuizawa-cho. In an area where untouched nature remains, you can take a forest bath while listening to the voices of wild birds. It is about 1.5km from the entrance of the boardwalk where the parking lot is located to Sengataki, about 25 minutes each way. The well-maintained promenade allows even small children to walk, and there is also a babbling square where you can play in the water in a mountain stream. Because of the wildlife habitat, try to bring a bear-repellency bell when walking.

Nagakura Shrine

A venerable shrine, which is said to be a shrine listed in the name of the Enki ceremony. About 70 species of trees grow in the precinct. Fireworks displays are also held and crowded in the summer.

Karuizawa Wild Bird Forest

In 1974, the forest of wild birds was designated as the first country-built wild bird forest in the whole country. About 100 hectares of forest is home to about 80 species of wild birds per year, as well as Japanese antelope and black bear. There is also a visitor center for Picchio, a forest-living guide who conducts protection and research on nature and wild plants and animals in this area. In addition to distributing maps and providing information, they also carry out guided tours.

Sengataki

A waterfall located in the upper reaches of Sengatakizawa, a tributary of Yukawa flowing through the Sengataki district in Karuizawa-cho. It is a 20m high and 2m wide waterfall that flows down from the top of a vertical cliff. It is about a 25-minute walk from the entrance of the bus stop Sengataki Onsen to the Sengataki parking lot. It is a gentle climb through the larch forest, and a 25-minute walk from the Sengataki parking lot to the waterfall on the "Sengataki Baburagi-no-michi" promenade, which is further maintained along the mountain stream. Because it is a habitat for wild animals, try to bring sound things such as bells and radios.

Le Regalin

Even in Karuizawa, the owner has a history of being the chief of the famous donk at the pastry shop. The specialty is the chocolate cake "Regalan" 340 yen. The rare cheesecake 360 yen, which is creamy and has a modest sweetness, is also recommended.

Terakoya Honpo Karuizawa Ginza Street Senbei

The Senbei shop in the former Karuginza. The Senbei, which uses good domestic rice cakes and is baked with specially brewed soy sauce, is perfect for a walk-in-town companion. The hand-baked Shichimi is served by Shichimi, a terakoya special blend. There are many broken rice crackers that are unique to hand-baked.

Schokoladen burg Karuizawa Chocolate Hall

A high-sense chocolate specialty shop that focuses on the beauty of the finish. You can also see the workshop. There are about 20 types of chocolates, including raw chocolate, mango and passion fruit, and you can also enjoy hot chocolate in the café space.

Kashiwakura Confectionery

Many fans visit old-fashioned handmade Japanese sweets every year. The specialty is flower bean red rice 610 yen. Plump red rice with flower beans is reputed to be delicious. In the small store, wild vegetables are sold 610 yen, Nozawa Nanamunju 130 yen, and Mitarashi dumpling 100 yen. 1 kg1100 yen is so popular that it is said that if you eat this shop, you can't eat other rice cakes.
