West Country 33rd Kannon

The Kanon stone Buddhas scattered along the Senkoku Highway on the west bank of Lake Aoki. It was carved by a stonemason from Takato in the late Edo period, and was built as a signpost by praying for the safety of travelers across the snowy Sanosaka. At present, a roadway runs through Sanosaka, but there is a statue of Guanyin standing at the base of the tree as far as Ebisma in Lake Aoki.

Lake Aoki

A beautiful lake with a heart-shaped lake line. 6.7km around and a lake surface elevation of 822m. It is the largest of the three lakes of Nishina, with a depth of 58m and high transparency. On the surface of the lake, it is also referred to as "Lake of Thought" because of its mysterious appearance. Tourists who enjoy SUP, canoeing and camping are popular, and summer firefly cruises and autumn foliage are popular. It is also fun to hike through the historical sites of the Salt Road, such as Dozaki Kannon on the west bank and Nishikuni 33rd Kannon on the northwest bank.

Nishina Three Lakes

At the foot of the Northern Alps, the three lakes that are viewed from National Route 148 are collectively called "Nishina Sanko". From the south, they are connected by Lake Kizaki, Lake Nakatsōmon, and Lake Aoki by the Nuguggawa River. It is located at an elevation of around 800m, and the surrounding area is well-maintained in nature. In particular, Lake Aoki is known for its high degree of transparency. You can enjoy cycling, camping, water sports and fishing. Lake Kizaki can be seen from JR Inao Station and Uminoguchi Station.

Zhongtuon Lake

With a circumference of about 2km, it is the smallest of the three lakes of Nishina. It is said to be "Lake Nakatsama of fishing" and is known as a fishing spot for crucian fish and Ugui. If the lake surface freezes in winter, you can enjoy the smelt hole fishing. On the west bank, there is a salt road (Senkoku Kaido), and stone Buddhas are scattered. In spring, a dark pink mountain cherry is reflected on the lake surface, and it becomes a popular viewpoint.

Yu-Puru Kizaki Lake

A day-trip bathing facility at Kizakiko Onsen, which is drawn from Kuzu Onsen; a large bathhouse with a sauna, as well as an open-air bath; and a heated pool zone will also be provided.

North Yamato Garden

A shop for handmade jam made with berries such as blueberries grown on a home plantation. They are sold in stores using private houses of the Meiji period. The handmade jam, which makes use of the ingredients and reduces the sweetness, is all five types of blueberries, rhubarb, apples, apricots, and prunes 190g 800 yen (tax included). There is a bottle of 240g900 yen (tax included) only for blueberries.

Kizaki Lake Modern Boat

A leisure spot on the shores of Lake Kizaki. A variety of experiences are available, such as a popular all-you-can-play 1day passport 3900 yen, a canoe experience 2200 yen, a pedal boat 1650 yen, a lending rod 1100 yen and a rental cycle 550 yen. Feel free to interact with nature and enjoy from family to couple.

Seiko Pavilion

Known as a base for boating and cycling. It is also known that it was once a stage for anime, and you can eat Marie curry 730 yen and Marie ice cream 450 yen in the cafeteria. Lake fishing is thriving, and many are known such as black bass, smelt, and Kizaki trout. There are pedal boats from 1500 yen, motor boats from 5000 yen, banana boats, wakeboards, etc.

Kizaki Lake

It is said to be "Lake Kizaki for leisure" and is the busiest of Nishina three lakes. You can enjoy camping and cycling on the lakeside as well as water sports such as SUP (Sap = Stand Up Paddleboat) and canoeing. For nine days starting from August 1 each year, Shinano Kizaki Summer University (question: Hokuazumi Education Association) also opened on the lakefront. Lectures are held with renowned lecturers. With a lake surface elevation of 764m, the winds across the lake surface are refreshing even in summer. The southern shore is lined with the ruins of Nishina's castle, which lasted about 400 years in the Middle Ages, as well as inns and day bathing facilities at Kizakiko Onsen.

Kanden Tunnel Electric Bus

From Ogizawa to Kurobe Dam within the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route (TK Route), the 5.4km Sekiden Tunnel penetrates directly under Akazawa-dake at an altitude of 2678m. An electric bus without exhaust gas runs in 16 minutes across the Nagano-Toyama prefectural border with a steep slope of 13 degrees and an average of 10 degrees, running as a power source with electricity sent from the bridge line in the tunnel.
