Iiyama Tesuki Washi experience studio

Road Station Flower Station Chikuma River

In the spring, the station has a full view of the rape blossoms on the banks of the Chikuma River. The most popular menu is spicy "Satowa Curry" with rumbling vegetables. For soft ice cream, local snow carrot taste is recommended. It uses "snow carrot", which has a lot of sweetness under heavy snowfall in the local Nabekura Kogen, so it tastes fruity so that it cannot be considered a vegetable.

The village of kamakura

Mayumi Takahashi Doll House

A permanent exhibition facility for the creation of puppets by puppet writer Mayumi Takahashi (who lives in Iiyama). The theme is Japanese hometown Iyama, which everyone feels is old, and you can enjoy the original scenery of the hometown and the world of dolls at the same time. There are always 100 creative dolls on display that make you feel the warm-hearted figure of a gentle old girl.

Tour of Iizan Temple Promenade

There are more than 20 temples and shrines centered on the Iiyama Castle Ruins Park, and the cobblestone temple-tour promenade connecting them has been maintained. The walk is a handy course around Daisho-ji ~ Jofuku-ji ~ Myosenji ~ Shōnen-ji ~ Chōnen-ji ~ Shōjōan on the north side. The duration is 1 to 2 hours. Stamp stands will be set up at each temple and shrine, and if you buy 200 yen of a hoop and collect stamps for 10 or more places, you will get a "Kip for the Juraku Jodo" at the Iiyama Station Tourist Information Center. It is a place where the building of the Buddhist temple is thriving, so on the way back it is recommended to walk along Gangi Street, where the Buddhist temple shop is connected.

Shinshu Temple

The temple was visited frequently by Bungo Shimazaki Fujimura. It is a model of Rōhō-ji Temple, which appears in his masterpiece "Bakukai", which he wrote during his time living in Komorō, and there is a literary monument in the precinct that engraved the first chapter. It is also nice to be able to travel around the temple slowly over time, as the promenade is also maintained for temple tours, including Shinshu-ji.

Shosei-an

A Zen-hermitage with an old-fashioned style on a thatched roof; one of the 100-year-old temples of the national ancient temple; and a beautiful-looking hermitage with a simple but in harmony with nature, where the master of the master of Dōkyō Keibata, who was called a senile, is sent through the end of his life.

Changfeng Sports Park

There are ponds and lawns in the park, making it a place for citizens to relax. In the spring, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom surrounding the pond, and the cherry blossoms reflected on the lake are beautiful.

Iiyama Castle Ruins Park

It is a castle built by Uesugi Kenshin as a strategic base for the Shinano invasion, and now it is possible to survive those days in the restored gates, earthworks, and stone walls. From mid-April to late April, the cherry blossom spots where Yoshino is blooming.

Warabi hot spring contact water

A village-run public bathhouse. It is located in the idyllic hills of the Warabidaira district, and is in a favorable environment with a view of the idyllic landscape of Takayama Village. The large bathhouse is built to make use of the warmth of wood. The view from the semi-open-air observation bath that hangs out in the shape of a veranda is outstanding, and on a sunny day you can see the Northern Alps. Bamboo, which is the fence of the observation bath, imitates the peaks of the Northern Alps. It is suitable for a view bath.
