Shiga Kogen

A plateau at an altitude of 1300-2300m surrounded by a mountain range at the center of Joshinetsu Kogen National Park, in the northeastern part of Nagano Prefecture, on the prefectural border with Gunma. It shows a changing terrain with large and small lakes, marshes, and valleys, such as Onuma Pond, Maru Pond, Lotus Pond, Kido Pond, Forty-eight Pond Wetlands, and Okushiga Valley. The coexistence relationship between people and nature has been recognized by UNESCO, and you can feel close to the precious nature designated as UNESCO Eco Park.

Biwa Pond

It is the second largest pond in Shiga Kogen after Onuma Pond. It is said that the name of Biwa Pond was given because the shape is similar to the biwa of the musical instrument, and it is said that water accumulated in a depression that was created during volcanic activity about 200,000 years ago and became a pond. It is a quiet pond surrounded by birch forests, and there is a promenade on the side of the pond that can be turned around in about an hour a lap. You can stroll while enjoying the fresh green in spring and the autumn leaves in autumn. A promenade is also maintained between the city and the Lotus Pond.

Onuma Pond

Lake dammed by volcanoes. 5.5km in circumference and 26m deep. The largest pond in Shiga Kogen. Praise the mysterious cobalt-blue water. No fish inhabit because of its strong acid. The legend of the great serpent and the daughter of Nakano Castle Lord, Kurohime.

Fureai hot water

Hot springs facilities located within the general sports park "Yuyu Park". The single-sex bathroom is tiled with clean tiles, and the large glass windows overlook the lush mountain-village landscape, and you can enjoy the hot springs in an exhilarating mood. There is also a restaurant at the end of the corridor. The two bathtubs are filled with colorless and transparent hot water, and the small bathtub remains a little tepid at the temperature. The large tub is heated slightly and kept at the right temperature. Alternating in both tubs, it is reputed to be effective all over the body.

Nagato Onsen Ease of Water

A day-trip hot spring facility that serves as a facility for the roadside station "Marmelo no Station Nagato", which was opened along the Nagato Bypass. The single-sex large bath is a spacious space with two tubs and a body shower, a large tub and a jet water bath, and a sauna. There is an open-air bath surrounded by large rocks outside, and you can see the surrounding mountains. There is also a place to eat and relax. There is a mini park just out of the front door, which is well received by families.

Akakura no Mori Auto Campground

A campsite where you can interact with animals, surrounded by the majestic nature of Akakura Forest. An environment where both children and adults can feel at ease. The Akakura River, which is home to salamanders, rock fish and crab crabs, runs through the center, and you can play with goats at Fureai Square. Cottages, bungalows are available only on the official website.

Nagato Ranch

Ranch on the Shinshu Shirabaki Plateau at an altitude of 1400m. You can experience butter making and horseback riding. In the restaurant, you can enjoy dishes using milk squeezed inside the ranch and authentic PIZZA baked in a stone pot. Pets are not allowed inside the shop. You can eat on the wood deck.

Road Station Quince Station

The concession stand, "Nanohakan", is lined with various pickles, Shinshu soba, and Oyaki, including Nozawa Nanaki, a specialty of Shinshu. In addition, there is an abundance of souvenirs from the trip, including Shinano Kiriyama Dattan soba products, which are a specialty of Changwa-cho, and Changmon Ranch direct ice cream. Local fresh vegetables are also available at the produce shop. There is a stop-over "Nagato Onsen Yasuragi no Uto" and a restaurant next door. Tourist information is perfect because there is a tourist association. There is also a whisper shrine that has the benefit of the marriage, and it is a specialty. The use of a credit card varies depending on the facility.

Tatshina Onsen Tatesina no Sato no Yumi

It is located along National Route 142, inside the Gonnongsan Sports Park, where facilities such as tennis courts, a Mallet golf course and a gymnasium have been maintained. A town-run facility that stands on a small hill with a large view. The bright building is also equipped with facilities such as a restaurant, karaoke room, and free Wi-Fi, and you can see the magnificent panorama of the direction of Asama Renzan and the Amanomaru Kogen from the windows of the large bathhouse and the rocky open-air bath. It is reserved, but a welfare bath for people with physical disabilities is also provided and is well received. There is also a baby bath rental.

Road Station Goddess's Village

A roadside station located along National Route 142 in Tateshina-cho, a town of agriculture and tourism nurtured on Mount Tateshina. From the station building, you can see the beautiful view of Asama Rongbong and the scenery of the plateau and the countryside. In the station building, there is a large selection of "Koshihikari", which contains soil suitable for making rice in Tateshina, as well as freshly picked vegetables, jams, juices, and confectionery. A menu using local ingredients is lined up at the Ajyodo "Kareiki-tei", where you can eat delicious "Tateshina beef yakiniku heavy" and "Muramashi curry" with a standing apple in the countryside.
