Xiaojo Ruins Palace

The Komorojo Ruins of Nogoko Garden has been selected as "100 famous castles in Japan" and "100 famous places in Japan", and is a rare hole castle in Japan that is built in a place lower than the castle town. The Chikuma River and steep valleys flowing to the west side form a natural fortress [yosai], which also appears in Bungo Shimazaki Fujimura's "Sketch of Chikuma River". Within the park, there are the Fujimura Memorial Hall, as well as the Keizo Koyama Museum, the zoo and the amusement park, which have become representative tourist spots of Ozo. At the entrance of the garden stands the Sannomen (Important Cultural Property), a hipped-built city gate with the large sum of "kōyōen" raised.
