El Gaia, dude.

A museum where you can learn about the environment and energy issues while having fun and experience the future. There are various attractions within the facility, such as "Cosmo Unit Energaia" where you can experience the operation work of a space power plant with characters written by manga artist Reiji Matsumoto, and "Theater Gaia" where you can have a virtual tour of a nuclear power plant at one of the world's largest video theaters.

Ōshima Peninsula

It is located across the Aoto Bridge from Wakasa Hongo, and has a beautiful harmony between the coastline and the Ohara Forest. In the Urasotome district, there is a temple of Seon-ji, which enshrines the Kamakura period wooden Bisaemonten statue (Important Cultural Property) and the Kichijoten Statue (Important Cultural Property), and in the Nishimura district, there is a temple of Jeonji, which enshrines the Heian period wooden Fudomyo-za statue (Important Cultural Property). At the tip of the peninsula, there is Akazakizaki, which has an impressive red reef, and an auto campground and a promenade are maintained. In summer, you can enjoy swimming and loquat hunting.

Wild Deer Waterfall

Otaki, with a height of 30m, near the prefectural border between Fukui and Kyoto; a legend remains that Yakushi Nyorai cast a light on the rout Abe family, and showed a way out; and a walk on a forest road of about 400m to the waterfall.

Hot water

Facilities where you can enjoy a variety of hot baths, including bubble baths, Finnish saunas, and salt saunas. The open-air baths of natural ore hot springs are also popular. They are attached to the roadside station Seaside Takahama.

Genroku Mochi Honpo

Founding Taisho 13 (1924). Good rice paste is made with soft rice cakes, and the rice cakes are flavored with crimson, mugwort, and cinnamon (Nikki). 110 yen per piece (with 10 pieces, 15 pieces, 20 pieces, 30 pieces).

Sunny Mart South Store

There is a large selection of local seafood and specialty products that were landed on that day. Sunny Mart South store has many kinds of ingredients, and it is convenient to source nets and charcoal.

Wakasa Wada Camp Barbecue Ground

A campsite adjacent to the Wakasawada beach. The barbecue building, which can accommodate 150 people, is safe for the group. We do not sell materials, so we are ready.

Wakamiya Beach

The birthplace of the beach in Takahama-cho, where white sand continues and the water is highly transparent; there is a sea-fishing park and a supermarket within walking distance, which is ideal for families with a lot of baggage.

WAKASAWADA BEACH

Long Beach, which has been selected as Japan's first international environmental certification "Blue Flag," has a wide range of ages, from young people and couples to families with children. You can enjoy the scenery of Mt. Aoba called Wakasa Fuji from the sandy beach. There are barbecue sites and campsites nearby, and outdoor and marine sports schools are also highly satisfied. During the period, there are also events such as fireworks displays. There is also a roadside station with bathing facilities in the surrounding area.
