The museum stands looking down the course of the Tama River. It contains more than 2200 works, mainly Japanese, Western and post-war prints from Taisho and Showa, including artifacts by writers with a deep connection to the Tama area. There is also a space that recreates the storefront of a nostalgic candy store. Retro, which is a tea room, is attached to the side of the entrance. It takes 30 minutes.

The exhibition features works by movie sign artist Itaban Kubo and dioramas by sculptor Takagi Yamamoto; sign paintings that convey the atmosphere of a time when movies were the greatest entertainment, and delicate dioramas that revive the lost Showa genre evoke quiet touching.
