Kawabe Onsen Plum of Water

A day bathing facility using an alkaline simple hot spring with a slippery skin pH of 9.4. Facilities such as the natural stone open-air rock bath, the three-tiered well-placed water bath, the source-circulation inner bath, and the sleeping bath are all spacious and relaxing. It is reputed to be friendly to women's skin and hair, including an aroma beauty sauna, a shower head that removes chlorine, and a dryer that produces negative ions and ozone. For women only, there is also a menu for women's strength such as eyelash extensions, and there are plenty of options for body care, relaxation and other options.

Banka Shimura

A locally reputed Japanese confectionery shop along the road to the Tama River. A number of handmade Japanese sweets related to Ome are lined up, which is perfect for Ome souvenirs. Recommended is Ume Daifuku 216 yen. A whole large plum of sweet-roasted rice is contained, and the sweet paste is reduced to enhance the taste of the plum. The 160 yen each of the Ome manju, which is made of plum pulp kneaded into the paste, has a refreshing color of the Ome.

Omei Hills Hiking Course

A hiking course that walks along the hills from Ome Station to Gunihata Station. You can meet beautiful landscapes such as the view of the Tama River and the city of Ome from the hills. There are many branches down to the city, so it is attractive that you can choose a course according to your physical strength.

Small Fruitland Berry Cottage

You can enjoy picking berries such as blueberries and raspberries in summer, and kiwi fruit in autumn. At the rest area of the Canadian Log House, you can eat juices and cakes made from self-grown fruit, as well as soft serve with 25% of fruit and pulp for a limited time. In particular, juice is a popular product with people from far away.

Kubota Blueberry Farm

You can experience picking blueberries from late June to mid-August. There is a shop where you can buy fresh blueberries, and you can also sell seasonal vegetables. You can also experience stripping kiwi fruit from late October.

Uchinuma Mushroom Garden

You can enjoy the harvest of shiitake mushrooms naturally grown in raw wood. In addition, in the autumn (early October), you can purchase makitake mushrooms, hira mushrooms, nameko, chestnut mushrooms and shimeji, which are naturally grown in raw wood, only in the season. After Shiitake picking, it is possible to eat with charcoal grilling (separate fee required).

Ome City Museum of Art

The museum stands looking down the course of the Tama River. It contains more than 2200 works, mainly Japanese, Western and post-war prints from Taisho and Showa, including artifacts by writers with a deep connection to the Tama area. It introduces the work picked up according to the theme from among them. There are many works by writers that can only be seen here, and their own collections are unmissable in learning about modern Japanese art. In addition, the special exhibition also introduces outstanding Japanese writers. The view from the large window is also like a picture. There is also a calm tea room. It takes 30 minutes.

Showa Retro Commodity Museum

A unique museum that exhibited packages of various products that were consumed during the Showa era. The building is a wooden two-story furniture store built in the late Taisho era. The first floor part is an exhibition space. The inside of the building is filled with boxes and outer bags of confectionery, drinks, miscellaneous goods, stationery and medicine, as well as the bonuses of successive Glico and the appendix of magazines. There is also a space that recreates the storefront of a nostalgic candy store. Retro, which is a tea room, is attached to the side of the entrance. It takes 30 minutes.

Showa Gentankan

The exhibition features works by movie sign artist Itaban Kubo and dioramas by sculptor Takagi Yamamoto; sign paintings that convey the atmosphere of a time when movies were the greatest entertainment, and delicate dioramas that revive the lost Showa genre evoke quiet touching.
