The park was opened in 1917, with an area of about 420,000 square meters. The ruins of Jōmon-style dwellings from the Jōmon period are also excavated at a valuable water source in Musashino. It is also the place where Tokugawa Shōgun took a falconry. In the spring, the cherry blossoms bloom in the area around Inochi Pond where boating can be enjoyed, and in late autumn, you can also enjoy the autumn leaves.
