Inari Shrine

The old shrine of the "Kinjō Hachiman-gū" on the west side was enshrined in the Kamakura period by the great grandson of the Kawasaki Motoie, Takashi Shibuya, who was related to the Kinjō Hachiman-gū. At first, it was called "Tanaka Inari Shrine" near Shibuya Station, but later it was enshrined as "Hokusawa Inari Shrine" on Dogensaka, and in 1961, it became "Hokusawa Inari Shrine" at its current location. As you climb the stone steps, a group of vermilion torii continues to the shrine. Many Kōshin pagodas on the right hand side of the precinct date from the Edo period and are designated as Shibuya-ku Cultural Property.
