Wild Lake

Dam Lake, located at an altitude of 1513m, 10km around, surrounded by 2000m-class mountains. More than 300 species of alpine plants, such as the white-mallow mallow, the brown-minged azalea, the white-necked sedge, the clam, and the willow orchid color the area around the lake from spring to early autumn, and colorful autumn leaves can be seen. Among them, the nozoriki sedge in July is stunning. You can enjoy trekking around the lakeside and climbing the surrounding mountains, as well as fishing on the lake. Udon noodles and soba noodles made from local maitake mushrooms are recommended at the Notari Pass Rest House and the Notanko Observation Deck and Information Center. On the north shore side, the field lake campsite (open from early May to mid-November) is also maintained.
