There is a science exhibition corner where you can enjoy experiencing the wonders of natural science, an environmental exhibition corner where you can learn about global warming and renewable energy, smart communities have fun, and an Antarctic observation exhibition corner where you can learn about the history of Antarctic observation in Japan. In addition, we have a planetarium where you can see the constellations of the night sky of Wakkanai and Antarctica free of charge every day. Along with the adjacent Noshap Cold Stream Aquarium, it is known as the nickname "Wakari Umu". It takes one hour.

It is built on Cape Noshap. It raises and displays about 100 species and 1500 items, mainly fish that live in cold currents. Japan's largest freshwater fish, known as "Maboroshi no Fish" indoors, is swimming with the fish from the northern sea, juyuyu in a traveling aquarium boasting a water volume of 90 tons. In the summer, a show of the beloved seal seals is held twice a day outdoors, and in the winter, you can enjoy a walk of the Humboldt penguins. Along with the adjacent Wakkanai City Youth Science Museum, he is known as the nickname "Wakari Umu". It takes one hour.

On the west side of the Wakkanai city area, it is spread over a hilly area with a full view of the Wakkanai streetscape. There are various monuments standing in the green park where you can enjoy it while walking. In 2018, the night view from Wakkanai Park was listed as "Japan Nightscape Heritage".
