Suzuya
It is the former home of an Edo-period national scholar, Noroncho Motoi, and has been designated as a national special historic site. It was at the age of 53 that Bancho converted a storage room on the second floor to create a simple study of four and a half tatami mats. Suzuya was named by Nobuhō himself, who said that when he was tired of his research, he swung a post-hanging bell and enjoyed the tone.
