
Honren Temple
An ancient temple of the Hoha sect, founded in 1347. It is located on a high ground with a view of the harbor, and during the Edo period, the guest hall was addressed to the accommodation of the Korean Correspondent. A floorboard made of a single board of 4.5m long [keyaki], located between the palaces inside the palace, is a must. The main temple, Nakamon, and Banjin halls are designated as national important cultural treasures, while the Sanetō and Soshidō are designated as the prefecture's important cultural treasures. The seaside triple tower, which is said to be the only one in the country, has a good view from the sea side.
