A huge artificial lake formed by being dammed by the Arimine Dam, a gravity-type concrete dam, at an elevation of 1100m on the upper Wada River, a tributary of the Changanji River. The area centered on the lake is designated as the Arimine Prefectural Natural Park, and you can enjoy the rich nature of the dam lake and the surrounding area while driving along the Arimine Forest Road (for a fee). Near the Arimine Dam, there is the Arimine Visitor Center, which guides you to the nature and history of Arimine, and you can enjoy camping and walking on the promenade.
