
Dainichi Temple
An ancient temple of the Tendai sect that stands on the western outskirts of Kurayoshi City. According to Teraden, Soken was founded in Seiwa 8 (841). After that, it was temporarily abolished, and in the year 1593 (1593), the Kenshin monk Tōgenshin [Eshin Sozu Genshin] was re-founded. The main statue of the Amitabha Nyorai is a work of the Kamakura period and is an important cultural property of the country. Nearby is a large ginkgo, which is 30m high and 11.2m around the trunk.
