1268 Ashinoko Summer Festival Week

A festival in the sacred forest wishing for children's health and family safety. A treasure hunt game, a dedication of the Yudate Lion Dance (designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Asset), chanko nabe service, children's sumo, mochi throwing, and a public bazaar (held all day) are scheduled to take place.

In a spacious garden overlooking Owakudani, the "Crystal Tree 'Abete'" adorned with approximately 110,000 crystal glass pieces will be displayed. The tree shines brightly in vibrant colors illuminated by sunlight during the day, and in the evening, it is lit up to create a fantastical appearance. Additionally, at dusk, "lanterns" (from December 6 to 25) installed on the terrace and in the pond will be lit. The light from the lanterns creates a romantic world.

To the east of Lake Ashi, at an elevation of 1,356 meters, Hakone Komagatake is one of the central volcanic craters of the Hakone volcano, appearing as a gently rounded mountain when viewed from below. A ropeway runs from the foot of Hakone-en to near the summit, and from the mountaintop observation area "Hakone Komagatake Ashinosora," one can overlook Lake Ashi below, the Hakone outer rim mountains, Mount Fuji, and Suruga Bay.
