First sunrise (go stone coast)

A major spring event to be held on the venue at Goishi Kaigan, a representative scenic spot in Ofunato City. The main festival square contains a variety of local gourmets, fresh seafood and other delicious foods from Ofunato. On stage, local performing arts, local character dances, and local high school students' performances of brass band and drums add to the festival. Ofunato City is said to be the northern limit of the Pacific Ocean side where yobaki is native, with warm temperatures and almost no snow cover even in winter. Located in the southern part of the city, the Sanriku Reconstruction National Park "Goishi Kaigan" is also designated as a national masterpiece and natural monument, and the largest indoor camellia viewing facility in the country, "Camellia of the World", located in the area. From around 12 to April, you can enjoy the flowers and scents of 600 camellias from 13 countries around the world. Around the time of its peak, from February to March, the Tsubaki Festival is held, and on the day of the event, the experience of camellia, the sale of camellia sweets and related products, welcome by Ofunato Tsubaki Musume, as well as the popular camellia vote, which is a luxury prize.
