The neatly flowing taiga and Shimanto rivers are the original Japanese scenery. The sinking bridge, which is said to be the last clear stream and is often seen, is a bridge built without a parapet from the beginning to prevent it from being washed away when the river rises or floods, and is indispensable for the Shimanto River landscape.
