Sightseeing in Okayama Korakuen and Okayama Castle
Okayama Korakuen is a daimyō garden with an extensive site of about 140,000 m². It is counted among Japan's three best gardens, along with Kenroku-en in Ishikawa Prefecture and Kairaku-en in Ibaraki Prefecture. Okayama Castle is a symbol of Okayama Town, which is also called "Ujo" because its outer walls are painted with black lacquer. The castle tower was renewed in November 2022.
