Roadside Station Shichino-to-produce facility Shichisaikan

To ensure a safe and meaningful experience in nature, we have prepared facilities and environments that outdoor enthusiasts will love, such as auto campgrounds and cabin houses. From forest walks to firefly viewing and stargazing, the outdoor facility offers "great nature" that will satisfy children as well. The auto campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis for securing spots, regardless of whether reservations are made in advance or on the day. We also offer experiences like stick bread baking and pizza making (reservation required).

The museum is located adjacent to the Shichinohe-cho culture village. You can also see the fantastic works of Uichi Takashiyama, a Western-style painter from Shichinohe-cho, and the tabletop lamps that were collected by Takashiyama in Europe in the late 19th century. It stores and publishes some of the country's designated important tangible folk treasures, such as the Mikimachi Kannon-do and the "Nanbu Koe-ma" owned by Odako Fudō-do in Shichinohe. The ruins of a settlement accompanied by a Jōmon period midden, the largest in Aomori Prefecture, which has been designated a National Historic Site. As well as shellfish such as the snail and clams, bones from fish, mammals, and birds have also been excavated. In addition, the remains of the pit house, stone tools, earthenware, and accessories made of bone have also been found. Two pit houses have been restored and are now maintained as a historic site park.
