Kumaoka Confectionery Store

A museum showcasing the works of multi-creator Kunibo Wada (1899-1992) from Kotohira Town. It introduces his diverse activities as a political cartoonist, novelist, designer, and painter through special exhibitions (1-2 times a year; closed during exhibition changes). There is also a sale of the local specialty "Kyuman," produced by Kunibo. A café and rental gallery are also available. *The special exhibition room has stairs and is not barrier-free. However, the café and rental gallery are flat spaces, allowing access for wheelchairs and strollers.

Completed in 1903 (Meiji 36). Originally a social venue for officers of the 11th Division of the Army. It is a single-story wooden building with a simple Renaissance-style exterior. Designated as an Important Cultural Property by the national government in 2001 (Heisei 13). Preservation and repair work was carried out from 2004 (Heisei 16) to 2007 (Heisei 19), and it is now open to the public. It serves as a rental venue for social gatherings for the citizens of Zentsuji, available for weddings and receptions. An attached building next door houses a café.

It is a rare decorative burial mound from the early 7th century, featuring line engravings on its walls. Designated as a national historic site in 1984, it is now maintained as a burial mound park. Every year on April 29, the interior of the stone chamber is open to the public.
