Kushima Citizen Autumn Festival

The hills of Fengjiki, with 319 burial mounds scattered on a flat plateau of 2.6km east-west, 4.2km north-south and 50m in elevation. Under the blue sky, cherry and rape blossoms are in full bloom, and you can enjoy the contrast between pink and yellow. To the north and west are the Kyushu Mountains. During the festival, the main venue is lined with street stalls and local industry shops, which are crowded with families and flower visitors.

The site of Nobeoka Castle and Shiroyama Park, where the site of the Nobeoka Castle was maintained, was already lit at the end of the Meiji era, and has been a popular spot for night cherry blossoms since ancient times. In addition to performing electric lighting from 18:30 to 21:30 in accordance with the flowering time of the cherry blossoms, a 19m-high stone wall known as the "stone wall of killing a thousand people" will be lit up. Cherry blossoms are lit up, and at the "Waiwai Gourmet Expo" on Saturday, March 22, you can enjoy various gourmet and stage events while watching the beautiful cherry blossoms (10-16 o'clock, light rain, stormy weather stop).

Maizuru Park, which was the residence of the Akizuki clan of the Takabe clan, is also known as a cherry blossom spot. In the spring, when about 500 Yoshino cherry trees are in bloom, the Takanabe Castle Cherry Blossom Festival is held. It will be held from late March to early April, but at the "Cherry Blossom and Light and Wind" in late March, under the theme of "Takanabe Castle Town", there will be lighting up of cherry blossoms at night, stage events and sales by eateries.
