Nagatoro Treasure Climbing Plum Festival 2025

A function of the Shingon sect Nagatoroyama Fudji Temple, located near the Hōzō Ropeway Hōzoku Station. Nagatoro is a cherry blossom spot that has been selected as the "100 Japanese Sakura Famous Places". There are about 3000 cherry trees planted in the town, and you can enjoy various kinds of cherry blossoms for about a month from late March to late April. Especially popular are "Kitasakura-dori", which is followed by 400 cherry blossom tunnels over about 2.5km, and "Cherry Blossom", which is centered on Ya-e-zakura.
