Tottori

City Overview

Tottori Prefecture, also known as the setting for the white rabbit myth of Inaba, is an area rich in nature with extensive Tottori dunes. There is a great mountain called "Hokifuji" because of its resemblance to Mount Fuji, and you can observe the scenery and diverse flora and fauna of the four seasons. The Santoku Sanbutoji Temple, which has been designated as a national treasure, is a unique piece of architecture built on a cliff and is also listed as a Japanese Heritage Site. In addition, Kurakichi's Shirakabe Tozo group was filled with streetscapes from the Edo to the Meiji period, and was also used as a location for the film "Onto wa Toraiyo". In addition, there is Shigeru Mizuki Road and the museum of Gosho Aoyama, the author of "Detective Conan", and the area has a deep relationship with manga culture.
