"Meercat Cafe googoo", Japan's first specialty cafe where you can interact with such meerkats, has opened in Kichijoji. A three-minute walk from JR Kichijoji Station is marked by a vertical sign featuring cute meerkats.

Meerkats live in warm regions such as South Africa. The contact space is also kept at 25-28 degrees, which is easy for meerkats to spend, and the room temperature and humidity meters are frequently checked.

The staff is not only meerkats, but also those who have experience in raising small animals such as cats and dogs, go to schools related to animals, or work in a profession dealing with animals. The meerkats from "Meerkat Cafe googoo" are familiar and have made their shop debuts since they were trained not to bite, so they can touch each other with peace of mind.

Because they are all personable, some children will jump on their knees immediately. There are many people who are afraid to touch them because they are so small, but it is okay with the same feeling as when you are stroking a dog or cat. Please stroke them gently.

Two or three animals can ride on their knees at the same time. It's a bit ticklish to scratch it crunchy.
When you run away from your knees, the staff will bring you on your knees again, so let's wait without chasing them.
