Keihanna Memorial Park Night Cherry Blossom Festival

An elegant play in memory of the Heian dynasty, which takes place in the Heian garden of the Jinen Rakusuiyuan. Poets of both sexes wearing the costumes of the Heian nobility sat on the waterside of the stream (shisui) in the garden, and they ran a cup on a boat in the shape of a waka (oshidori) in the stream, and they made waka chants into short strips, so they took up the cup and asked for some sake. * Pre-application system (see official site for details).

On April 18 (Saturday) from 11:00, after the Shinto ceremony, the Izumo Fūryū Hanaburi (registered intangible folk cultural asset of the prefecture) will be held. Dancers in flower hats decorated with seasonal flowers, hunting clothes, water-drying clothes, and white tabi will dance while striking small drums with their sticks, singing and playing flutes, praying for good health and rain.
