Marugame Castle Festival

Marugame City's largest festival, which began with the celebration of the restoration of the Marugame Castle castle tower. There are various events that can be enjoyed by children and adults, including the annual events such as "Marugame Castle Town Sticking Large Large Exhibition" and "Mare Gangan March".

Recognized as a Night View Heritage of Japan, it features one of the largest illuminations in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions with approximately 2.5 million bulbs. A daily illumination lighting ceremony is held at the 23m tall tree, illuminating the entire park. The highlight for 2025 is the Matsuken Illumination Night. You can dance with a 3D hologram of Matsuken, and a gold illumination will also make an appearance. In the popular parade, there are scenes where you can join the characters in dance. Recommended experiences to enjoy the illumination include the "moving illumination experiences" like the Ferris wheel and glowing roller coaster, as well as 3D projection mapping and the limited-time Fireworks Fantasia, which are also very popular. The Hokkaido Gourmet Fair will be held simultaneously.
