Koyasu Onsen

One of Japan's leading V-shaped valleys, which stretch for about 9km. Yamada, Goshiki, and Shichimi hot springs are scattered upstream. It is also famous as a spot of autumn foliage, and during the season, maples, beech and rowan brightly color the valley in red and yellow. In addition, there is also a Mai-no-michi promenade along the valley from Takaibridge at Yamada Onsen to Yakushido, so you want to take a walk.

A village-run public bathhouse. It is located in the idyllic hills of the Warabidaira district, and is in a favorable environment with a view of the idyllic landscape of Takayama Village. The large bathhouse is built to make use of the warmth of wood. The view from the semi-open-air observation bath that hangs out in the shape of a veranda is outstanding, and on a sunny day you can see the Northern Alps. Bamboo, which is the fence of the observation bath, imitates the peaks of the Northern Alps. It is suitable for a view bath.

Along with being the symbol of Yamada Onsen, it is a representative public bath of Shinshu Takayama Onsenkyo. The current building was rebuilt in 1989, but it is a Momoyama-style building with an entrance house and a karakaze. The previous simplicity is left intact. In the hall, trees are used not only for the bath, but also for the walls, ceiling and window piers. A cypress is used at the edges of the pillars and the yūfune, and the wind with the incense of wood is wonderful. In the early morning, the hot water is stocked, and the hot water of the mountains is further enlivened.
