Yubai Mountain Observation Deck

The island located in the northernmost five islands. It is surrounded by rich nature, such as the Ohama swimming beach, which is a long white sandy beach, plain grassland where you can enjoy golf, and the middle of the island, where there is Jogake called Goshima Fuji. Historically, it is said that the Heike ruled the island for seven generations, starting with Heike Sheng, who lost the Battle of Nonoura. A large number of buildings related to Iemori, such as the landfall of Heike Sheng and Tōkōji, indicate a deep connection with the Heike family.

A fixed-arch iron bridge connecting the city of Sasebo to the Nishisonogi Peninsula, built in 1955. 42m high and 316m long. One of the three major rapid tides, the Great Vortex of Onio Seto, can be seen from the bridge. The Uzu Tide Festival (participation free) is held from late March to early April, as a particularly large uzu tide is seen in spring.

A park built across Sasebo and Saikai to commemorate the completion of the Saikai Bridge. At the time of the great tide, the three major rapid tides flowing under the bridge are innumerable vortices, and can be viewed together with about 1000 cherry trees in April and 5000 azaleas in May. In the hills along the Onio Seto, you can enjoy playing equipment such as soli piste and field athletics.
