Forest Country Farm

A unique hot spring facility located within JR Matsumaru Station. The onsen on the second floor of the station building consists of two zones: the "Meiji no-yu" zone, which is based on the warmth of the wood grain, and the "Notoko-no-yu" zone, which is based on the image of a valley and a waterfall. All of them have an outdoor bath and sauna. The two hot water are used in a gender alternation.

It is maintained along the river in Matsuno-cho, where the Hiromichi River, a tributary of the Shimanto River, flows. In the park, there are the Freshwater Fish Aquarium, Shimanto River Learning Center Fish Hall (Irikan 900 yen), and the forest country glass workshop Fune (Irikan free of charge), and there are many facilities including a specialty goods sales shop and a restaurant.

The birthplace of the early Showa period haiku poet, Shiba Bukion, is preserved as a memorial museum. Items such as Bukion's handwritten tanzaku and diaries are on display. Around the area, there are stone monuments inscribed with Bukion's haiku, allowing for a stroll along the "Haiku Path."
