Shokado

A resort spot "Miki no Sato" located in the Mase area of Gero City, which is a member of the "Most Beautiful Villages in Japan" association. The "Hotel Miki," standing on a high ground along the clear stream of the Mase River, and the attached hot spring facility "Spa Miki" are among its main facilities. The bathing area of Spa Miki, known for its skin-smoothing effects, features about 15 types of baths and facilities, including indoor bubble baths, jet baths, deep baths, sleeping baths, and box steam baths. The two outdoor baths offer exceptional views of the starry sky and green mountains. The restaurant serves locally sourced dishes.

The natural underground water used for sake brewing is a rare high-quality soft water found nationwide. The local sake made with this water and Hida Homare, the only sake-brewing rice in Gifu, has a fragrant aroma and a refreshing taste. Popular items in the shop include Junmai Ginjo sake Hida Homare (720 milliliters for 1870 yen) and Hida Homare Daiginjo (1.8 liters for 4950 yen). Tours are available during the sake brewing season.

下呂市飛騨金山の地で、江戸時代から続く造り酒屋。直売所では、無ろ過生原酒初録、奥飛騨特別純米酒のほかに、日露首脳会談で提供されたウォッカや、こうじの甘酒、酒ケーキなども販売。築200年の酒造資料館は、古い酒造りの道具や江戸時代からの大福帳、200年前のお雛様などを展示。岐阜県まちかど美術館・博物館に指定されている。酒造見学(2人以上、無料、要予約)では、試飲も可。
