Tennin Gorge

A waterfall over Tenjinkyo on the east side of Daisetsuzan. One of the 100 waterfalls in Japan, it is the largest waterfall in Hokkaido with a head of about 270m, and one of Japan's best waterfalls. It flows out of Aisypop and Futamisawa, a branch of the Chungawa River, and falls into seven steps, with two swamps merging on the way to form a single waterfall. Almost the entire waterfall can be seen from the waterfall tower, which climbed the mountain trail from the Tenjinkyo onsen town for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. * The promenade to the waterfall is currently closed and cannot be reached nearby. 10 minutes from the Asadake Ropeway Sanfoot Station to Sugami Station at an altitude of 1600m. In the area around the pond, you can enjoy a walk around the excursion course (one hour required).
