Mikuni Pass Observation Deck

Located in the Daisetsuyama National Park, there is a ski area where you can enjoy majestic views and the best quality powder snow in the country. There is also a good-value ski pack, which includes a set of accommodation at Nukabira Gensen Township and a lift day ticket.

Around Nukahira Lake, there are scattered concrete arch bridges with abandoned lines, such as the Fifth Otonara River Bridge, whose bridge length exceeds 100m, and the Tašubetu River Bridge, a phantom bridge that will appear when the lake level drops in January-May. The view, with the bridge and nature in harmony, is stunning.

The Japanese National Railways Shihoro Line, which was opened from Obihiro to Tokatsu Sankō, was abolished in 1987. The history of the residents carved in the Shihoro Line and the long and harsh northern railway, which displays a number of tools actually used.
